YOu cannot discover a VPN client fromt eh network in any reasonable way as the client always appears to be on the local network. In Windows we locate things by name not by IP as the IP is usually dynamic. If you are having issues with you VPN client then contact the vendor of the clients software. Before migrating to Win 7, I ran XP where the VPN client and SmartSecurity worked flawlessly together.

The problem seems to be Windows 7 related. I forgot to mention an important observation in the initial post. We can answer questions but we cannot do a laundry list. I tried installing the 4.2 beta on a fresh Windows 7 installation followed by the VPN client. Once those conditions are met (lets say for example purposes it is the IP of 192.168.250.7): Now I am trying to get a Windows 10 machine that is located outside of this network to connect using the built in VPN client. All of these are VPN'd together with an L2TP/IPsec VPN with a PSK.

On a "positive" note, Im sure there isnt going to be much VPN mobile clients so Im pretty sure it is always going to be 192.168.250.1 but at MOST it would be 192.168.250.10.

Obviously, a lot of time is wasted just searching for it but I really have no other choice. To search for the VPN mobile client's IP I want to make the transfer to. In order to successfully transfer make the RoboCopy, I need And then I wanted to make sure that only certain users could connect. I cannot find a way to set a static IP for a VPN mobile client so I cannot be guaranteed that it will be the same IP. I configured the L2TP VPN using: CONFIGURATION > Quick Setup > VPN Setup Wizard > VPN Settings for L2TP VPN Settings, and L2TP worked fine. Im using a L2TP/IPSec VPN mobile client and a ZyXEL ZyWALL USG50 as the server.
